First Baptist Student Ministry

A Place For Students To Belong

At First Baptist Lafayette, our Student Ministry is all about helping young people find real meaning by growing in wisdom, knowledge of Jesus, and a deeply rooted faith. We provide a safe and supportive environment where students can explore who God created them to be, connect with others, and grow closer to God.

Our mission is to guide students in discovering what it truly means to love God, love people, make disciples, and find truth and purpose in their lives. Everything we do is focused on helping your student know and experience the love of Jesus and live it out daily. Join us as we inspire the next generation to live out their faith with purpose, passion, and a sense of belonging!

Get Connected

Through weekly Sunday School classes, Midweek worship and gatherings, special events, summer camps, and mission trips, we equip students to carry out the work of the Church in their daily lives—all for the glory of God alone.

Sunday School

Our Student Ministry is dedicated to helping middle and high school students in grades 7-12 grow in their faith and build strong, Christ-centered relationships. Students gather at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday School, where they dive into God’s Word through engaging lessons and meaningful discussions. Students meet in the FBCS gym before breaking off in Sunday School classes by gender.

Worship

At 11:00 am, students attend the Modern Worship Service, sitting together as a group with the Student Ministry or alongside their families. This schedule encourages students to deepen their connection with God and the church community while fostering a vibrant, supportive faith journey.
